Electronic shelf labels and LED walls for a compact store that’s operationally efficient and able to communicate with impact.
CraiGO! is the proximity format launched by CRAI to meet everyday shopping habits: compact stores, a focused assortment (around 2,500 SKUs), and customers looking for speed and clarity. A contemporary concept that calls for equally precise technological solutions.
Nebular ESL: order and precision in every aisle
In a proximity store, where staff are limited and every minute counts, shelf information management cannot be left to chance. Nicolis Project installed Nebular electronic shelf labels in several formats, allowing staff to update prices and content in real time, with a centralised system that reduces errors and frees up time for customer service. Concrete operational support, designed for environments where efficiency is everything.
LED walls: brand communication takes centre stage
Two LED walls complete the installation: positioned at strategic points in the store, they broadcast CRAI brand content with high resolution and immediate visual impact. These aren’t simple screens: LED walls are communication planning tools that make it possible to schedule targeted campaigns, update messages in real time, and remotely manage what, when and where content is shown. Even in a compact space, digital signage turns every square metre into an active branding lever.
From Cagliari to Turin, toward new stores
The first installations are already live: the CraiGO! store at Via Roma 155 in Cagliari has been equipped with Nebular ESL and two LED walls. In Turin, a second store of the same format has been fitted with the same technologies, with the addition of a window display monitor to maximise visibility from outside as well. The project is expanding: the upcoming openings in Ventimiglia and Porto Cervo will integrate the same digital solution, consolidating a replicable technology standard on a national scale.
“Working on a format like CraiGO! was a stimulating challenge. We proved that a store’s smaller footprint is no barrier to digital integration — in fact, in high-operations settings like proximity stores, technology makes a real difference day to day. The same ESL and digital signage solution is replicated consistently across multiple stores, confirming that a scalable digital standard is now within reach for any retail format, regardless of size.”
