Fewer paper price tags and prices always up to date with Nebular, enhanced communication and service with btotem and monitors, for a better customer experience.
TUTTIGIORNI, a brand of ABBI Group, chose Nicolis Project to digitalize its store in Quartu Sant’Elena, Cagliari. The goal was to make price management more automated and efficient, freeing staff from repetitive tasks so they could focus more on the customer experience, while also starting a gradual shift away from traditional printed materials, for tidier spaces and lower paper-related costs.
Prices updated automatically, with no room for error
To centralize and automate price management, the store was equipped with Nebular electronic shelf labels in white case. Prices are updated on the system and reflected immediately on the shelf, reducing manual tasks for staff.
Digital signage serving customers and staffed departments
Alongside the ESL, the store introduced digital signage to guide customers along their shopping journey. A btotem at the entrance manages the loyalty card, while dedicated monitors installed in staffed departments support staff activity with informative content.
An integrated ecosystem, managed centrally
ESL and digital signage don’t work in isolation: they coexist in an integrated ecosystem, managed through a single platform, Profimax Cloud, which allows prices and content to be updated simultaneously across all devices. Electronic shelf labels close the communication loop at the point of choice, on the shelf, while btotem and monitors build context and service throughout the rest of the shopping journey.
A multifunction btotem serving customers and staff
A key feature is the multifunction btotem dedicated to staffed departments. Integrated with the queue management system, it supports staff in managing waiting times. It also includes an always up-to-date ingredient book, and lets customers check product information by scanning the barcode.
A growing partnership
The Quartu Sant’Elena project is part of a collaboration between Nicolis Project and ABBI Group that keeps growing store by store. With six installations soon completed for the brand, the group is taking concrete steps toward greater standardization of its technology solutions, with the goal of defining shared guidelines and a replicable model across multiple stores.
“Our journey with ABBI Group grows alongside their brands: each new store is an opportunity to refine a model that can then be replicated efficiently across the whole network.”
Manuel Rossi, Central and Southern Italy Sales Director, Nicolis Project
Toward the next opening
TUTTIGIORNI’s digitalization journey continues: the next store, in Largo Cavallotti, Sassari, will be the sixth of the brand to integrate Nicolis Project technology, in a project that looks beyond electronic shelf labels alone to embrace digital signage as well.
